“burning dreams, howling vengeance”

The mantra of the

“BANSHEEYUME” project.

Two schools of thought with one goal in mind.

perseverance.

converse’s #createathome” 2020

Using “BANSHEEYUME” to bring a creative spin to a footwear staple

“BANSHEEYUME” started as a project with fashion collaboration heavily in mind. Fashion is the DNA of “BANSHEEYUME” and that exact aspect was showcased while participating in Converse’s #CreateAtHome challenge. With characters “Deva” and “Jaded” as the project's models, developing a custom Chuck Taylor was the main focus of this contribution. What came to fruition was the “Burning Reality Custom” Chuck Taylor sneaker. A celebration of BANSHEEYUME’s logo aesthetic and staple “dream energy” color scheme. With small modifications to the silhouette of the iconic piece of footwear, it has caught the attention of even converse themselves.

“POKÉMON X LOUIS VUITTON”

Merging inspirations; keeping it familiar

Two titans of pop culture melding in a meaningful and transformative manner while staying close to their roots was a formidable design equation of its own league. No punches were pulled during any part of the process. Design sheets, mock-marketing, 3D models, and more were utilized to bring forth a vision of Trainer Red that would turn even the most speculative of heads during fashion week. “Pokémon x Louis Vuitton” was one of the most exciting projects to conceptualize and work on as everything felt fresh and uncharted. Not only did it bring out my versatility in an assortment of programs, but displayed my strong sense of vision and flavorful design choices. This series was a true work of love as both entities have had a large presence in my journey not only as a consumer but as an illustrator and designer.

“icons of fashion”

Bringing entities from the real world to my own.

What happens when you bring some of the most fascinating creatives into the BANSHEEYUME world? A series of characters that take “power” to another level. The largest challenge was in execution. Creating characters based on real people was far from unheard of. Therefore, bringing a higher degree of style and finesse was not optional. The answer was simply adding “perspective” to the mix. Not only in how they were drawn but how they were presented. By adding these characters to a 3D environment, perspective could be comminuted further through use of moving cameras.
